So Spring is finally here and even though some of us may be in lockdown we can look ahead to getting ideas for spring makeup looks, spring skincare routines, fashion, choosing new fun colours and new accessories.
So with the the weather warming up we tend to shed the winter clothes and we can start to see that we need to take a little time to prepare for better looking skin that is more exposed. To do that we need to start at the beginning, We need to improve the texture and look of our skin, not just for your face but also your body...
Exfoliate - The best way to get your skin looking soft and smooth is to exfoliate. You can use a body scrub in the shower or bath and whilst there are a number of scrubs around, using a natural or organic scrub is best. You can also use a textured sponge which will help remove dead skin cells. Make sure that you use a softer exfoliating scrub for your face. Gently using two fingers work a little of the scrub evenly around the face and in particular around the nose and chin areas. Too harsh and you will remove the good skin cells and damage the skin. Exfoliate no more than twice a week.
Check out some of our Exfoliating facial or body scrubs here .
Hydrate - help to nourish and moisturise
your skin with a good daily moisturiser. Its time to ditch the heavy winter moisturiser and start looking at a light weight one particularly for your face. For the body you should moisturise daily, particularly after a shower. For your face, its morning and night. The best moisturisers are those that are organic and/or natural - no nasties on the face!!
A range of facial moisturisers can be found online here as well as in-store.
Lastly Slip, Slop, Slap - there should be no reason to forget the SPF, this is an important part of the skincare regime. Again get a good one that has natural products. A lot of the face moisturisers contain sunscreen but extra protection never hurts. Our Custom Foundation and Melli Foundations contain sunscreen too. Check them out here.
Tanning - so before you head out in the sun (possibly looking pale) why dont you do a little self tanning with our range of tanning products. These tanning products will help you to gradually gain a tan without the burn. Try the self tanning mousse, mitt and after tanning moisturiser to provide a golden glow. All body and tanning products can be found here
